Foxtel Media Upfront 2023
Foxtel Media is on a mission to be Australia’s Most Watchable video network. For our 2023 Upfront we presented our business strategy at the new Sydney Football Stadium. The theme of the event was Game Changed - a reference to our pivot away from traditional linear broadcasting to a streaming business with a suite of exciting entertainment brands, as well as our strategic positioning as the home of sport in Australia.
With the help of our events agency Alfred, we presented exciting announcements including the introduction of an ad-supported tier on BINGE, the high engagement in our growing audiences as well as content and technology updates to a crowd of over 500 plus media industry peers.
As the creative lead for the event, this was a brilliant opportunity to showcase our refreshed visual identity alongside our game changing business strategy. Our brand lifts inspiration from Foxtel’s in that of colors and fonts, but we used color and our own graphic devices and treatment to also set us apart from the other Foxtel Group brands. We are the advertising house of Foxtel and we sell the assets across all the consumer facing brands so it’s important for our brand to be platform agnostic. We harnessed vibrant, sunset-like gradients to showcase our exciting entertainment content, then switched to moody greens and blues to delineate when we were focused on Sport - a nod to Kayo and FOX SPORTS brand colors. We harnessed Foxtel’s newly unveiled chevron device, symbolic of our dynamic and future-facing approach as a business.
I oversaw the production of all creative for the show, as well as all the additional creative collateral for the event: invites, signage, microsites, owned assets as well as developing assets for our staff to use in follow up presentations in market.
